As noted in some of my more recent blog posts, several German language films are available on Amazon or Netflix these days. That being said, sometimes finding German language films for the classrooms (especially for use on sub days!) can be quite difficult. It’s important to avoid the overpriced markets as much as possible – often times buying the same film with the same language options in the American market can cost four times as much as shipping it from Germany.
I’ve purchased many DVDs directly from Germany/Austria/Switzerland, sometimes in person and others from Amazon.de, which has allowed me to provide this wide variety of films you find there. These are, of course in Region 2, so prepare to play that either with a computer or a region free DVD player.
