Another 2020 Netflix film, this social drama is rated TV-MA and covers the political spectrum of Germany.
One member of the cast has been in several Netflix shows German film lovers may have seen. Playing Arthur Schnitzler in Freud and the title character in Egon Schiele, Noah Saavedra is an Austrian-born actor with Chilean roots. One of his first roles was in Spectre.
This film shows the vast political spectrum that exists in Germany, and as such does well in supporting the environmental, political, and societal challenges. Personal and Public identities are also dealt with in this film. There is music culture involved as a party scene goes from rap to Schlagermusik as the audience becomes more intoxicated (can’t go wrong with Er gehört zu mir, right?).
At 13 minutes in there is an attack that may be triggering to some viewers. There is a short sexual act 33 minutes in. Another begins about an hour and 15 minutes in, but there in nothing beyond PG-13 in this scene. There is riot-type violence throughout this film, but most scenes are not very graphic.
