This 2020 Netflix film is marketed as a drama-mystery-fantasy.
Cornelia Gröschel plays our lead. She may look familiar from Der Staat gegen Fritz Bauer. Next to her is Tim Oliver Schultz, whom we know from Die Welle and the Vampirschwestern series. Wotan Wilke Möhring is another major player yet again. Thelma Buabeng, Ghana-born actress, is another familiar face, from Heil or Berlin Alexanderplatz.
While not particularly educational, this film would be enjoyable for those who enjoy superhero movies.
The beginning of this film may trigger some viewers, as it implies the aftermath of violence in a school. This particular violence is seen more clearly towards the end of the film. The full parental concerns can be found on IMDB. While Netflix has rated it TV-MA, it would likely register in the PG-13 category in today’s rating levels. Most of what is seen here is similar to what we see in other superhero origin films.
