Winterkartoffelknödel

This 2014 film is the second in so far five crime-comedies. It is set in a generic Bavarian village, and as such includes dialect.

Potential issues for the educational setting:
– There are some swear words in another language, subtitled in German, that are stronger than standard German swear words. Towards the end of the movie, there’s a song in English almost exclusively of swear words.
– There are dead bodies, somewhat comedically shown from time to time as the detectives do their work.
– Some mild drug use, which leads to personal injury.
– There’s a humourous musical scene about wanting sex, followed by a scene where sex is implied (which happens a few times throughout the rest of the film).

Overall, an interesting study of German comedy that wouldn’t push to the rated R level.
