This 1983 East German comedy follows a sort of clumsy and socially awkward man in Berlin in his quest to find an attractive young lady and starts a new job.
This film has some fun “only in Berlin” and “only in the DDR” things that would be good in a classroom setting. Several sights of Berlin are shown in focus and would also be a fun comparison. The comedy style is old-school (it is an 80s film, after all), but may be taken well by students. It’s much more wholesome than modern comedy, though there is a mild amount of sexual innuendo towards the end of the film.
At 57 minutes in, a young girl is seen showering. At one hour and nine minutes, the woman’s blouse is relatively see-through, which may be noticeable on larger screens.
