Systemsprenger

This 2020 Netflix film is marketed as a drama. It focuses on a major medical concern for a child, which causes her act out violently.

Most cast members are likely new faces to us. That being said, a few familiar faces join us here. Gabriela Maria Schmeide was in Große Mädchen weinen nicht and das weiße Band. Lisa Hagmeister may be familiar from Alles Gut and Isi und Ossi.

One could use this film for Public and Private Identities (specifically alienation and integration), Healthcare and Scientific Research, Families and Communities, as well as Contemporary Life (especially Health and Well-being). This can be done in clips, but may be more impactful as a full film.

Trigger warning: child abuse. In dealing with difficult behavior, some adults respond in ways we would often consider child abuse. This includes hitting and locking the child in a closet, as well as abandonment. At one point (37 minutes in), she urinates on the floor in protest.
