This 2014 film featuring Jürgen Vogel is a thriller. It is a bit of a mind-breaking storyline.

Of course Jürgen Vogel and Moritz Bleibtreu are awesome in this film, as always. Petra Schmidt-Schaller also adds to the perfect cast as the main character – Erik’s – girlfriend. She also played an important role in Almanya – Willkommen in Deutschland. Georg Friedrich is our “hooded man.” He’s an Austrian actor, known for a variety of roles including: Faust, Vampirschwestern 2, Mein bester Feind, Nordwand, and will be in the upcoming (2020) film Narziss und Goldmund.

There are some English and German swear words used, and there is violence associated with the main character’s mental state. There is brief nudity with a sexual situation about 34 minutes into the film that should be easy to skip or edit. Another sexual situation comes up at 38 minutes, which may be a little more difficult to skip due to the quick transitions. More quick transition sexual situations begin about an hour in. Overall not one I would recommend in a classroom setting, though it may be an interesting film study with a discussion of psychology for the upper (university) levels.
