Schwarze Insel

This 2021 Netflix film is marketed as a teen movie, but is rated TV-MA. Perhaps the only thing leaning in a “teen movie” description is the fact that it centers itself around a school. Sadly, the director is not German, but rather English. He has quite a few big names under his belt at this point – Doc Martin, the 1979 Black Island, and Downton Abbey, to name a few.

Starring Hanns Zischler (previously seen in the posts for Amen and Das Mädchen Rosemarie), Alice Dwyer (Die Unsichtbaren), Mercedes Müller (Groupies bleiben nicht zum Frühstück, Freud, Die wilden Hühner und das Leben), and Sammy Scheuritzel (Dark, Schattenkinder, Wickie und die stärken Männer).

There is sexual tension throughout the film. 31 minutes in there is a quick glimpse of a nude woman. This is shortly followed by a sexual encounter. There are a few more after this. With a central theme being the sexuality and relationships of a teacher, this is not a film I would recommend even in clips for educational purposes.
