Erkan & Stefan

This 2000 Bullyparade-related film is one of several plots in the “Erkan und Stefan” line. In fact, John Friedmann’s acting stage name was Erkan Maria Moosleitner, until his real identity was discovered. His “partner in film” Florian Simbeck went by the name Florian Lust until this time.

Michael “Bully” Herbig directs this film – one of his first!

We’re more likely to recognize Alexandra Neldel, playing Nina. We’ve seen her in Barfuss, Lommbock, Lammbock, and Meine schöne Bescherung. Christian Tramnitz is also in this film for a small but important role.

Part of the comedy in this film is centered around dialect – specifically Turkish-German dialect, as well as an over-use of the term “schwul.” 36 minutes in there is a short scene in the museum where one of them is playing with the male anatomy of a statue. 47 minutes in there is implication of a sex scene – no nudity, but likely an awkward moment for a classroom setting.
