This 2006 film features Daniel Brühl and Jürgen Vogel, two actors we’ve heard a lot about already. We start with a melancholy mood during a large celebration, which gives us an idea of the type of person Karl might be. His co-worker, Hans, is quite a different kind of person.
Any introvert can understand Karl’s pain as he gets to know Hans. They become friends, though, even after the dares and the tests Hans puts Karl through. Their friendship – how it develops and how it is put in jeopardy – is the center of the film.
There is nudity that could be edited/skipped, but one of the scenes is a little longer, as Hans dares Karl to drive naked and eventually takes his clothes away.
