Technically this is a TV show rather than a movie, but only 5 episodes were done, so the length is about the same. This one is for the younger kids, but pieces may be interesting for teens as well (for example, an accidental game of Telephone regarding the lion being loose).
Some scenes show the show’s age (released in 1965) beyond the production quality. In episode 2, the N-word is used as a man goes into a rant about a stereotype of lion-eaters. I, for one, wouldn’t feel comfortable showing this clip to my students. This storyline continues in episode 3, and the word is used towards the end of the episode. Episode 4 takes them to a Muslim country, and it, too, is full of stereotypes, but it is presented in a less offensive way for the first few scenes. (I would say it pushes into “offensive stereotypes” as well before the end of the episode.) This storyline continues in the final episode. Episode 5 has an awkward hypnosis scene that may be triggering to some (he is convincing someone to take off his clothes so that he could put them on).
