This 1981 film features the music of David Bowie.
There is a lot to be said about this film. It is very educational. From the underground culture in Berlin in this time to the struggles of drug use and detox – it’s all here. But because of how very honest it is about these things, it is also a strong R in the U.S. rating system. Nudity/sexuality, drug use, etc.
There is a book that is just as graphic as the film as well. It may be a little easier to stomach for those needing the lessons but not yet ready to see it in film form.
