7 Zwerge: Der Wald ist nicht genug

It had been so long since I had originally written the post on the first film that I had forgotten I meant to write these separately! This 2006 sequel stars most of the same actors as the first film.

Axel Neumann plays Rumpelstilzchen. And so do Oliver Pocher, Axel Stein, Mario Barth, and Udo Lindenberg. All of these actors are amusing choices for their part of this role. In fact, they probably are the best comedic relief throughout this film.

Cookie is now played by Gustav-Peter Wöhler. The change in actors becomes a joke in his first appearance. He may look familiar (albeit sillier than in most of his appearances). Some of his other credits are Soul Kitchen, Wir sind die Neuen, and several TV series and films.

There are several good German jokes throughout the film that may interest some of the students who’ve been learning for a few years! Other than that and some Lord of the Rings parody moments, this film is much slower than the first 7 Zwerge film, so it doesn’t seem to be as popular in classes.

There is some visual PG-13 style humor (such as their hats “rising” when they think of Schneewittchen), but is more or less appropriate for most audiences.
