This 2002 film is a comedy version of Goethe’s Faust, featuring Jan Josef Liefers and Armin Rohde.
Jan Josef Liefers plays Faust. He got his start acting in the DDR, and we’ve likely seen him in films such as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex, Honig im Kopf, Baron Münchhausen, and Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.
As one might imagine from the title and cover picture, this film may be too questionable for most classroom settings, as the vast majority of this film revolves around sex. That being said, it is a modernization of the story of Faust and may bring a version of the story to life for those less interested in classical literature and plays.
